In 2005, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed December 20^th  as the International Day of Human Solidarity.

This day has several objectives:

– to highlight the importance of solidarity, particularly in the fight against poverty,

– to promote social and human development in developing countries,

– to be part of global projects.
