The photo contest to mobilise young Europeans and the Maghreb on climate issues closed last September, 29th.
Until then young people aged 18 to 30 years published on Facebook their photos on the theme of #ClimateAction: The protection and preservation of our territories is essential to ensure the development and welfare of communities. The challenges of climate change require rethinking our lifestyles, rediscovering alternative economic systems and defending land, water and air from pollution and exploitation. Young people are called upon to engage in their own territories, cities and oases to strengthen the resilience of their communities.
Until today, 165 photos were collected, thanks to all young people on the territories!
The jury of experts is now working to select the most relevant photo, which will be awarded on November 30 in Rome at the Istituto Leonarda Vaccari during the Seminar “Climate Justice: the contribution of international cooperation and of civil commitment of the territories” on the occasion of FOCSIV’s celebrations of the International Volunteer Award and at the presence of civil society organizations and institutions.
Stay tuned to know the results of the competition!
