The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) was established by 42 countries in Quebec City, Canada on October 16, 1945.

Every year, FAO celebrates World Food Day, which commemorates its creation aiming at freeing humanity from hunger and malnutrition in order to manage food systems effectively world level.
